Information about the recall of VISINE^® All Day Eye Itch Relief

You may have heard, Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Products Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc. is initiating a voluntary recall of VISINE^® All Day Eye Itch Relief sold in the U.S. This action is being initiated after some samples tested as part of the manufacturer's stability program did not meet product specifications.

As of the date of this recall, there have been no reports of serious adverse events caused by this issue, and the possibility of serious adverse events is remote. Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Products Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc. is initiating the recall at the wholesale and retail levels, and we are temporarily discontinuing distribution of VISINE^® All Day Eye Itch Relief. This is not a consumer level recall, so consumers/caregivers are not required to take any action.
